Bastoni Vineyards
Welcome to Bastoni Vineyards. A small ranch in Santa Rosa,
we grow old vine Zinfandel grapes for Geyser Peak/Canyon Road
wineries. Below is a quick view of our Ranch. You can purchase
our wine only at the Canyon Road winery. You must ask for the
Bastoni Vineyards wine. Our vineyard name is on the label.
As you drive in on Riebli Road, you will be greeted
by my tractor sign. Installed by the county at my request, it
was a hope to slow people down who race up and down our road.
The sign did not work. People still drive 45 to 65 MPH on this
30mph road.
Here is the entrance to the vineyard. An old bridge
connects the world across the creek to the vines. The fence is
to keep the varmints that sneak in and steal the grapes when the
grapes are ripe. Problem is, the varmints jump over, or go through
the fence using wire cutters anyway to take the grapes. Go figure.
Another view of the vineyard looking at the North gate.
The vines in early June.
Here is a shot of me in April. I just started discing
as you can see in the first 3 rows and the row at the right.
Another shot of the vineyard with the 30mph sign on
the right. I have been passed on the double yellow on average
of once a month while driving 30mph in my car. People are just
in a hurry. And stupid.
You can reach the ranch by heading north on 101. Take the River
Road exit, which is one of the last exits of Santa Rosa going
north. Turn right. You are now on Mark West Springs Road. Go through
the stop light for 1.8 miles. Turn right on Riebli road. The vineyard
is on the left 1 mile. The House is on the right just past the
vineyard at 2020 Riebli Road.
